Marcus McGillivray / Associate

Mr. McGillivray focuses primarily in general civil litigation, construction defect, and insurance defense. Mr. McGillivray started as a criminal defense attorney, representing individuals with mental health vulnerabilities who were subject to the justice system. He earned his law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he received the Cali Award of Excellence for his study of White-Collar Criminal Law.

During law school, Mr. McGillivray served as a law clerk for a Phoenix criminal defense firm, where he briefly worked as an associate after graduation. He also clerked for a Capital Defense team in Pinal County, Arizona, defending clients in high-profile cases who faced the death penalty. Additionally, Mr. McGillivray interned for the Arizona Governor’s Regulatory Review Counsel, assisting state agencies with drafting new regulations and policy and improving the efficiency of their existing rules.

Mr. McGillivray graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Grand Canyon University. He is currently an active member of the Arizona State Bar, and a member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel. In his spare time, Mr. McGillivray enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking.
